Baylon McCaughey, nephew of Mrs McMahon of Glaslough, had a 4th and 5th and was the second 400 home in races at Mondello and Nutts Corner. In the two junior races he had two 3rds and was the 2nd 400 home. In the Stars of Tomorrow event he had two 5ths and was the 1st 400 home in both races.
On the Saturday before Mondello at Skerries, lady rider Francesca Giordano was racing Baylon's 400 cc Kawasaki. She finished 10th in the 251/400 cc race with an average mph of 81.15.
